Spanish courses for foreigners in Barcelona

Travelling to Barcelona in summer to enjoy holidays can be a great opportunity to learn or improve the Spanish language; our school BEEI allows the combination of teaching Spanish with a wide range of activities which, at the same time, help the student to practise the Spanish language.

Our teachers are native and philologists and apply a communicative methodology, its main objective is to allow students to have a command on the language according to  fluency and confidence. To get to that point, the lessons are totally in Spanish and they combine the teaching of grammar together with the oral and written practice.

The lessons are taken from Monday to Friday in the mornings, allowing students to have the rest of the day and weekends free to enjoy different activities such as: going to the beach, diving, windsurfing, sailing, paragliding, trekking, climbing, golf, mountain trips, visiting museums and monuments, going to the cinema, theatre, cultural events in general, enjoying typical food and any other kind of activities typical for summer time in Barcelona and the surrounding area.

Besides in our school you will be allowed to enjoy some free activities such as: cinema-forum, theatre workshop, poetry, Spanish cuisine recipes, etc.

ELEMENTARY LEVEL (NIVEL INICIAL)

This level has been designed to promote conversation from the beginning, in an elementary level, by giving a wide range of basic functional activities. When the course finishes, students will be in a position to have basic dialogues, to read and write short texts related to daily life.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (NIVEL INTERMEDIO)

The purpose of this level is to develop linguistic competences from the basic knowledge acquired in the elementary level.

Students will be able to read texts in general (not specialized) and write paragraphs about daily life, they also will improve writing skills by an intensive practice in authentic contexts (performing roles, situations about solving problems, discussions, etc.).

ADVANCED LEVEL (NIVEL SUPERIOR)

Through this level students will study fluency and linguistic command in depth involving all the fields of the Spanish language. Students will be able to have a systematic and detailed revision of the grammatical subjects which are more difficult to them and which hinder the correct expression of ideas and points of view, in the oral and written skills.

At this level students will be able to discuss, contrast opinions, learning to use idiomatic expressions typical from each situation proposed, and stylistic resources in a creative way.

The school BEEI also takes and offers Spanish private lessons (a teacher and a student) and students can be prepared for the DELE examinations.

It is also one of the most prestigious and elegant streets in the world, due to its excellent town layout and its outstanding buildings of architectural importance like the house “Batlló” or “La Pedrera” by Antonio Gaudí.
