Hagfors, the town where both hotels are located, lies in Varmland, an area which may rejoice itself every year in a growing interest of tourists. Not surprisingly, it's a beautiful open hilly landscape, crossed by the majestic river Klaralven. Take a bike or go hiking to discover Sweden, visit one of the many summer loppis (garage sales) or do a bet at one of the many auctions. Meet a moose or search for the last wolves of Europe. Take a few days canoe trip and camps on your own island. In Varmland you can do all of this. Varmland has a pleasant climate, many hours of sunshine in the summer and real winters. In the late spring everything comes to life within a few days as if it has to gain the lost time. Everywhere you see lupins in the most beautiful colours. The many lakes offer ample opportunity for water sports activities. And what about a raft trip on the river Klaralven (Clear River). Catch your own trout and see the beavers building their dams.
